Police Searching for Alleged CVS Shoplifter

Two employees called police after they noticed four cans of baby formula missing and a suspicious man leaving in a red vehicle, according to police

 

New Canaan police are investigating a Dec. 3 complaint by a CVS employee who claims that a customer might have taken $120 worth of baby formula, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc.

The complainant told police that at around noon that day she noticed some cans of Similac baby formula missing after a suspicous man was seen leaving the store and getting into the passenger seat of red Nissan Pathfinder. After taking inventory, the complainant told police that exactly four cans valued at $30 each were missing.

Another employee told police that he saw the same suspicious man carrying green recyclable shopping bags, but said that he left in a red Honda accord. The suspect was described as being in his late teens to early 20s, 5'3 in height, slim build and he was possibly wearing a blue hooded sweater and white sneakers.
