Police: Wife's Face Slap Gets Her Slapped with Disorderly Conduct Charge

Slapping someone in the face is a violation of the law. Even when it's your husband, as allegedly happened in this case.

When a Cheese Spring Road woman got into an argument with her husband on Sunday, she became angry and slapped him in the face, New Canaan police said.

Nothing terribly unusual about that. The unusual thing happened next: He told police, who came and charged her with disorderly conduct.

The 39-year-old wife was issued a misdemeanor summons and was told to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk the next day. She has another court date on July 16, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.
