State Will Keep Close Eye On Sex Offenders On Halloween
Department of corrections will conduct surveillance and unannounced visits.
The Connecticut Department of Correction announced this week that parole officers from all five regional offices in the state will be visiting the homes of sex offenders unannounced on Halloween and conducting surveillance to ensure they have no contact with children, according to the Stamford Advocate.
DOC spoksman Brian Garnett said that sex offenders will be required to keep their lights off and not answer the door for trick-or-treaters. He added that those that violate the rules could be sent back to prison.
Parents can conduct a search of sex offenders living in their neighborhoods on the Connecticut Sex Offender Registry site.
