Students Warned Against Dangerous Road Habits at DHS Safety Fair [Video]

The Darien Police Department and other organizations sponsored the “Students Against Destructive Decisions” (S.A.D.D.) Safety Fair Tuesday in the school's courtyard.

On Tuesday, Darien High School played host to the “Students Against Destructive Decisions” (S.A.D.D.) Safety Fair, designed to raise awareness about safe road habits.

Exhibits and at the fair warned about the dangers of intoxicated driving, texting behind the wheel, and riding without a seatbelt.

The event was sponsored by the Darien Police Department Youth Division, the Department of Transportation, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Connecticut State Police, S.A.D.D., Safe Rides, and other organizations.

The main causes of traffic accidents. Careless drivers who use the phone or listen to loud music, try to get down objects, or shift their attention to other people in the back seat behind the wheel are prone to accidents.
