Thousands in Jewelry Reported Stolen From New Canaan Home

Police said a 27-year-old woman who lives on Beacon Hill Lane reported necklaces, watches, bracelets and a credit card all stolen.

New Canaan Police are investigating a larceny at a Beacon Hill Lane residence after a woman reported thousands in jewelry missing from her home. 

According to authorities, a 27-year-old woman reported that, at some point between 5 p.m. on March 28 and 9 p.m. on March 31, a number of items were taken from her home, including:

  • Three necklaces with a total approximate value of $1,625
  • A Monica Kosann wristwatch with an approximate value of $250
  • Two bracelets with an approximate value of $1,155

Police also stated a credit card had been reported stolen, and an investigation into that car notified police there had been an attempt to use the card.

Police said an investigation is ongoing, and they're currently speaking to a family friend who had been over during the time-frame, but made clear this was not an instance of a home being broken into or otherwise burglarized.
