Wedding Ring Snatched from Convertible Downtown

A man who parked his convertible with the top down in a driveway next to A restaurant on Locust Street returned to find his wife's wedding ring and other items had been stolen from it.

He was gone from the car for 30 minutes, from 9:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, and returned to the car to find items in the car had been moved around.

The wedding ring is a solitaire with a diamond. It's value was not available. It was in the unlocked glove box of the car along with other missing items -- a lockbox key, $41 in cash and the man's wallet.

The man reported the theft to police at 10:28 p.m. that day.
