Campaign Notebook: Super PAC Created for Murphy

A group of Connecticut residents have formed "Connecticut's Future PAC," a super PAC led by Chris VanDeHoef, in support of Chris Murphy, reports the Middletown Press

The PAC's main conern is opponent Linda McMahon, whose vast personal wealth allows her to self-finance much of her campaign. They hope to raise about $1 million in support of Murphy. 

Fourth District

Jim Himes (D): The Concord Coalition announced that it will award the 2012 Paul E. Tsongas Economic Patriot Award to Himes for his vote in support of the bipartisan Cooper-LaTourette Budget.

"I was proud to back the only budget plan that garnered bipartisan support. I am thrilled to accept this honor and look forward to continuing my work with members from both sides of the aisle as we seek ways to responsibly shrink our national deficit," said Himes.

Steve Obsitnik (R): Obsitnik campaigned at various sidewalk sales in Connecticut towns and has posted pictures on his Facebook page
