Celebrate Constitution Day and Citizenship Day

An invitation to join local and state leaders on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Constitution Day and Citizenship Day are both observed annually in America on September 17. On this special day, the nation commemorates the signing of the United Sates Constitution on September 17, 1787. It recognizes all who have become US citizens either by birth or naturalization. This day also reminds us of our responsibility as cittzens to up hold the principles bedded in the Constitution.

In an effort to create “a more perfect union” the framers worked to create a document  that would protect individual human rights and provide a balance between federal and state interests. In celebration of  this signifigant day, the Wilton Republican Town Committee is hosting a Family Barbeque on September 17 from 1-5 p.m., at . Cost is $25 per person, $45 per family and $15 for seniors. 

Come join your town and state leaders for a day of food, drinks, silent auction and games for all ages. The event is partially sponsored by who be be in attendance so be sure to bring a pair of socks for a soldier.
