As part of the process for the New Canaan Police Department to have its accreditation renewed by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) a public hearing will be held at the New Canaan Library beginning at 7 p.m. on August 24.
Comments from the public on the department's compliance with CALEA standards will be welcomed at the hearing, and by phone between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on August 24. Call 203-594-3515.
