With changing market conditions, impacted by everything from shifting demographics to politics and the economy, buyers and sellers alike are concerned with what the effect will be on one of their primary assets.

Does it make sense to buy?  Is this the time to sell? What’s going on in the town of New Canaan and how will it affect the value of my asset?  What should I take into account in making an informed decision?  How is the mortgage market affecting both buyers and sellers?  What are the attorneys seeing in contracts… what is reasonable and what is not?

Presented as a public service by the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce and Moffly Media, a panel of real estate experts will address the state of the market and what it means for buyers and sellers today.  Moderated by Heidi DeWyngaert, President of the Bank of New Canaan, and joined by a highly respected panel of real estate professionals representing a cross-section of local agencies, legal counsel and mortgage brokerage, this will be a strictly informational presentation.

Panel:  Moderator- Heidi DeWyngaert- President, Bank of New Canaan; William Larkin- Manager, William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty; Hugh Halsell- Owner/Manager, Brotherhood & Higley Real Estate; Barbara Cleary-Owner/Manager, Barbara Cleary’s Realty Guild; Emily Restifo- Realtor, Brotherhood & Higley Real Estate; Michael Daversa- Owner, Atlantic Residential Mortgage; Kay Parker Jex- Attorney at Law
