VIDEO: Shays On 2012 Senate Race Issues
Former Congressman Chris Shays, who is running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Joseph Lieberman, shared his views with the Naugatuck Republican Town Committee.
, paid a visit to Naugatuck on Wednesday during the borough's Republican Town Committee meeting.
Other guests in attendance during the event included 3rd Congressional District candidate Wayne Winsley, and Tom Scott, a former Milford state senator who was representing senatorial candidate Linda McMahon.
Shays spoke about his record, and then go on to win the general election in 2012 against Chris Murphy, the 5th District congressman who is running for Senate as a Democrat.

Murphy hasn't been chosen to be his party's nominee, however Shays indicated he thought Murphy would likely be the candidate.
