Walker Bows Out, Giusti to Run, a Perfect Game, Hearing Voices

On Wednesday afternoon, First Selectman Jeb Walker told town employees that he would for re-election. On Thursday, Board of Finance member Paul Giusti threw his for the position. Giusti will face selectman Rob Mallozzi in a caucus that will determine which of them will party in November. Mallozzi announced his intention to run in February. 

A different kind of is taking place on Elm St. When Space.NK apothecary opens this spring, it will be the third cosmetics shop on New Canaan's main street. The shop is three doors up from Benefit Cosmetics and half a block from Cosmetic Boutique.

Talk about a beautiful thing: freshman Ali Reilly on her first time on the mound for the Rams softball team. "It was cool, and I was really proud of that feat," Reilly said.  The Rams beat Bassick 26-0.

Five members of the New Canaan Police Department were among 45 law enforcement officials from across the state who participated in a series of seminars at about dealing with the mentally ill. Patch joined them for a session called 'Hearing Voices.' Participants wore headphones that simulate just that — — as they attempted to perform routine chores and follow simple instructions.
