[POLL]: Best Of Patch: Italian Food in Wilton

Vote below, rate your personal favorite, and help Patch crown a "Best Italian Restaurant" in Wilton to kick off our "Best of Patch" series.

Tasked with identifying a food-and-drink-related category for our Patch users to rank, your local editors here in Fairfield County quickly came up with "Italian restaurants."

Who doesn't like pasta?

So today we're kicking off our  in that popular category—Italian restaurants—one where each one of us has a strong opinion. (Quick note here, as this caused endless debate among your editors: This is not for "Best Pizza in Wilton"—that's coming later in the year.)

Our inaugural Best of Patch contest kicks off this week with Italian cuisine on our mind.

Here in Norwalk, there's no shortage of Italian restaurants, and we're asking you to weigh by:

  • Voting in our poll (scroll down to vote)
  • Rating and reviewing (scroll down to click on your favorite restaurant)
  •  which restaurants are missing from the list and why they're the best

Restaurants also represent an area where we see new players come and go all the time—hopefully more small business owners coming and succeeding than being forced to shut down. Norwalk Patch updates its "Patch Places" directory every day, so please let me know if you're a small business owner who doesn't see your business on Norwalk Patch, or if you want to  (or even !)

Here are some of our favorite places, but if we're leaving one off of the list, please let us know in the comments and we'll add it:

  • (when it re-opens)

Voting in the poll below is open until 9 a.m. Friday. Ties will be broken by whichever business has the most positive comments in the section below. We will announce the winner at noon Friday.

For Delivery....Tom-E-Toes is the best. They have great service and the deliverers are very nice. Whenever Portofino opens (Whenever), they have the best pizza crust. Must be something they put in the water!

No expenses spared Italian night out- Luca. (great wine, innovative homemade dishes, more of a special night out type place) Fancier red sauce Italian and pizza- Portofino (good solid standard italian food) Pizza- Tom-e-toes Takeout- Salad/Entree/Sandwich- Stefanos (they have awesome salads!) I used to be a fan of Wilton Pizza but their pizza has slipped over the years and I have found live earwigs in my salad on two different occasions so I don't plan on going back.
