No Ordinary Weekend

I had the privilege of attending the Memorial Day ceremony on Friday at our . Principal Tony Pavia has organized this event over the years to not only remind his students of the meaning of Memorial Day, but also to honor veterans who attend as part of the ceremony. This year’s invited veterans were those that served in the Korean War.

As this is Tony’s as our principal, the event was even made more special this with the inclusion of the Marine Corps Band. WOW.

Please take a few minutes to watch and listen to the video I have uploaded. It was produced by New Canaan High School students and I believe you will walk away with the same conclusion I do after every one of these ceremonies…our young adults “get it”. Thanks Tony and teachers.

On a final note, and one from a very proud father, my son Robby has written and scored the music for the videos that are played during the ceremonies these past two years. Robby is a senior and will be graduating in June.
