Lisa Vara and Lindsey Palmer are coming
back to CaTS by popular demand after a successful December 1, 2011 workshop.

They sent us the following email summarizing the December 1 workshop and describing what they will cover at the January 5 workshop:

CaTS serves all of Fairfield County though it is based and its volunteers operate specifically out of .

Dear CaTS Members,

We would like to take a moment to thank you for
your candid and honest dialogue on December 1st. The conversations that took place around the art of interviewing hopefully provided you with some insightful tools as to how you can further leverage your networking and job searching
capabilities.

The following bullets below provides you with a quick recap on the content that was covered at our last meeting:

-- Current Market Place Challenges
-- Interview Preparation
-- Benefits and Dangers of the Internet
-- Networking Associations and Organizations

The first session was so successful that we would like to offer each CaTS member the opportunity to continue the dialogue by joining us for a second session. Session two will
incorporate the key learnings and discussions around the art of interviewing by doing a deep dive on various interview techniques. We will open the session
by:

-- Exploring the areas of behavioral based, flexible and non-directive interviews
-- Reviewing in person, panel and group style
interviews

We will define the optimal interview technique for each, and then give each CaTS member the opportunity to role play as both interviewer and interviewee. These practical applications will enable each member to apply these tools during their next "real life" job interview.

The entire session will be interactive, so please come with any questions or concerns you would like to discuss regarding the interview process. We look forward to seeing everyone again and hopefully some new faces as well! In the meantime, Happy Holidays!

Where DIDN'T you learn to write?? Jane Himmel May 22, 2013 at 01:27 pm "This has CONVINCED MYRead More GROWING CONVICTION that Patch has moved complete..."

I just called Staples. This is really disturbing to me. If I don't get a satisfactory answer, IRead More will let people know and I will also decide whether to continue shopping there. I do not like to give my money to unethical businesses.

This has convinced my growing conviction that Patch has moved completely away from any pretense ofRead More being a news source and is simply an electronic bulletin board. By abandoning their prior procedure of approving posts before they go up, they are letting anything go on and then taking them down if they're reported. By then, it's too late: the poster has gotten their message across during the time it's in the lineup. I only check in with Patch occasionally now and so many people in town won't read it at all anymore. I think we need to be honest with ourselves about what kind of a public forum this venue is. This doesn't reflect well on Staples if they are using subterfuge and violating Terms of Use on Patch either.
