At this point, most companies in our tri-state area are hunkered down, protecting their cash and market share, just trying to survive the current downturn… and not doing a lot of growing and hiring.  The good old days of you leaving one company and finding a similar job in the same market place at about the same salary, now slim.  Time to innovate and become an entrepreneur … because that’s what you are now: an independent business unit looking for a market opportunity.

Today’s job search requires you to both rethink your career goals as well as reposition/ redeploy yourself to the target companies and fields you wish to compete in.  You have to present yourself as a “The Buck Starts Here-person”.  Now you have to package your skills and your value added as if you were a employment staffing agency or outside consultant--- because that’s how you will be viewed by potential employers for the next few years.

Come learn how to think and act like an entrepreneur to be more productive in your job search.
