New Tradition at St. Luke's School: Painting the Rock

In a small traffic circle at St. Luke's School in New Canaan, students have started a new "tradition" this school year -- painting a large rock at significant times of the year.

"We paint it for different events," said one of the painters, Lindsay Bralower, a senior, like the other students.

A significant sports event, vacation or, in this case, the upcoming graduation can bring out the paint cans.

The seniors wanted to paint the rock entirely in the school colors, but they ran out of paint, so a medley of so particular symbolism was employed.
