The district late Wednesday morning sent an email to Saxe Middle School parents seeking feedback following last week’s widely discussed lockdown and supervised dismissal.
The discovery of a threatening note by an adult staff member at the school with violent overtones prompted the lockdown Thursday. No details of the note’s contents have been release, as police are investigating.
Shortly before 12 p.m. Wednesday, an email from Saxe Principal Greg Macedo included a link to a feedback form that included these questions:
- What worked well for your child and/or for you as a parent in our most recent incident?
- What didn't work well for your child and/or for you as a parent?
- What other comments or recommendations do you have for our team?
- (Optional) Student Supports: If you would like to discuss supports for your child, please indicate below:
- Student Name
- Phone Number
- Or Email
“In the aftermath of any crisis incident in our school, our school crisis team uses staff, student and parent feedback to learn from the event and revise existing procedures or plan anew, in concert with the greater school district,” Macedo said in his email. “Please take the time to share your feedback with our team.”
