Saxe Students Shine in Hartford

Middle School students demonstrated their tech savvy for Governor Malloy and State legislators at 2011 CECA Tech Expo.

Students from Joanna Dobransky's fifth grade class at Saxe Middle School had an unique opportunity to show Governor Dan Malloy and State legislators how they use the latest technology to support learning in their school.

The 17th Annual Technology Exposition of the Connecticut Educators' Computer Association, which was held in the State Office Building, Hartford on Wed April 13, included students from thirty schools throughout Connecticut.

The Tech Expo is an opportunity for students and teachers to showcase their technology projects in the State capital.  Saxe Middle School was one of 30 schools participating.

Charlie Burns, Henrietta Howard, Max Holmberg, and Eva Pace, the Saxe fifth grade students selected to present by CECA, exhibited websites they created on Google Docs that discussed the books they were reading at home.
