The month of February not only boasts the title of National Prevent a Litter Month, but Spay Day USA is also held on February 26th to aid in the prevention of unnecessary litters.
While one may question why anyone would ever want to prevent an animal from birthing cute crittters, not all of those newborn babies have a safe home to be raised in.
