It's Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month

Help prevent animal cruelty with some help from Village Critter Outfitter!

As April is Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month, we stand behind the various rescue organizations that have worked with Village Critter Outfitter, as well as those that have yet to be discovered! While we are lucky enough to say that animal cruelty is not something we commonly see with our great clients, it is unfortunately a problem that too many animals suffer from everyday.

We are sure you see all of those heart wrenching commercials frequently, while adoption websites are flooded daily with new additions due to the lack of care or even the truth of battling animal cruelty. While you may find yourself feeling the need to do something after viewing those sad faces of pets without a loving owner and home to call their own, you can help in the fight against those who mistreat and aid the pets that are treated cruelly.

One way to honor Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month is to visit Village Critter Outfitter during their weekly adoption events in New Canaan, where you might find your perfect match. However, if you are not looking to add another pet to your life, there are other ways you can get involved. Volunteering for any of these organizations not only allows you to possibly work directly with animals that are desperate for love, but you can also do things such as fundraising or help in the planning of rescue events where these helpless animals may find their new family.

Not sure where to get started? First, check out this rescue group that recently partnered up with VCO for an event. Maybe you can help STAR or one of the other groups that we support. We would be glad to help you get started on a path for defending the proper treatment of animals, so contact us today for more information at 203-972-7000.
