2nd Annual Rotary Golf Outing to End Polio

The Rotary Club of New Canaan will hold its 2nd annual golf outing this year on Wednesday afternoon, October 13.

The golf outing, which raises money to support Rotary International's commitment to eradicate POLIO worldwide, will be held at the Country Club of New Canaan.

The cost is $250 per golfer to play but non-golfers are encouraged to attend the cocktail party at 5:30 for a $50 donation. Tee sponsorships are available for $125 and but are reduced to $25 when you purchase a foursome. Prizes are awarded for long drive, closest to the pin, lowest overall score, hole-in-one and more. We will play a scramble format in order to encourage all levels of players to participate. The golf will be preceeded by lunch and followed by cocktails and hors d'oeuvres:

It is the goal of this golf outing to raise $5000 for the New Canaan Rotary Club to help Rotary International in the eradication of polio throughout the world. Money raised by the New Canaan Rotary Club's Lobsterfest in September is distributed annually to many local charities and international projects (such as the elimination of land mines in Cambodia and the creation of water treatment systems in Africa). However, the Polio Plus program stands alone as the most ambitious program in Rotary's 100 year old history, one in which we will have spent $1.2 billion and 20 years to eliminate the disease from the planet once and for all.

Guests are encouraged to sign up individually and in groups, and we encourage players of ALL abilities to join us for what should be a really fun day on the course.

Please make checks payable to Rotary of New Canaan and mail them to:
