4th Annual All Out for Autism 5k Walk/Run

The 4th Annual All Our for Autism 5k walk/run will be held Friday, August 24 at 6PM.  Presented by New Balance New Canaan, SPED*NET New Canaan, and the New Canaan YMCA, all proceeds from the event will benefit programs and events for children with special needs at the New Canaan YMCA.

The race will begin and end at New Balance (128 Main Street), with the course running through downtown New Canaan.  The 5k course is open to runners and walkers and will begin at 6:00 PM.  A quarter-mile kid’s race will also be held beginning at New Balance at 6:15 PM. Awards and festivities will take place following the race.

The All Out for Autism event was created by New Balance owners Ron and Tina Rosenfeld, who were surprised and inspired by the number of individuals with Autism who came into their store.  The goal of the event is to raise awareness of Autism within our community.  1 in 150 children is diagnosed with Autism, and it is currently the fastest-growing serious developmental disability in the United States.
