Fitness Guru Tom Holland Tells How to Beat the Gym

Looking to get really fit, but don’t want to spend money on a personal trainer? Tom Holland, an elite fitness trainer with over 20 years of experience, can help. Come hear him talk about his new book, “Beat the Gym: Personal Training Secrets – Without the Personal Trainer Price Tag.” Event co-sponsor Elm Street Books will sell copies of the book, which will be available for signing.

This is the first book to go through the gym step-by-step, actually explaining all the equipment, all of the classes and how to fashion the right workout for your fitness goals. Most importantly, it reveals all the secrets trainers charge thousands of dollars for.

This book will make people comfortable, knowledgeable and pumped to go to the gym. Holland covers topics, such as choosing the right gym, insider workouts and tips, cardio vs. weight training, staying motivated and how to exercise with injuries.

“Beat the Gym” is a must-have for anyone with a gym membership. Many people are intimidated by the gym—the machines, the free weights, the classes, the instructors, the trainers, even the clothes. They end up doing a workout or taking a class that does not suit their goals, or is even dangerous. Whether one is looking to run a marathon, lose weight, get ripped or just get the most out of a lunch break, this book has the answers.

Lucy Danziger, editor-in-chief of Self magazine, says, “Let Tom train you with this book, and you’ll finally be able to say: I did it. I beat the gym and got the body I’ve always wanted.”
