The Town of New Canaan in conjunction with Sound Cyclists Bicycle Club will present a Bicycle Rodeo festival in Waveny Park, on July 29, 2012, Sunday. This free event begins @ 9 am and will start with registration in the town pool parking lot area. Complimentary coffee, tea, bagels, donuts will be provided.
Sound Cyclists will conduct a safety clinic so that everyone can learn how to ride bicycles safely on the roads. Bike mechanics will also be on hand to assist with any mechanical issues people may have to permit safe use of their bikes.
NE Community Cycles, a 501(c)3 non profit organization that refurbishes bikes and gives them free to needy childred and adults, will be on hand to accept donations of any unwanted bicycles.
We will have a three mile guided family ride for all parents and children. Proper bike helmet (ANSI, SNELL OR CPSC approved) required! This will be followed by live music, performed by New Canaan School of Rock, back at Waveny, along with free Baskin Robbins ice cream and raffles in a party atmosphere.
All New Canaan residents are invited to come and join the fun!
