Kevin Macari Nominated for Fairfield County Player of the Week Award

The senior All-State receiver has competition from athletes in Darien, Fairfield and Westport.

New Canaan's Kevin Macari has been nominated for the Fairfield County Player of the Week Award, sponsored byBlueStreak Sports Training and powered by Patch.com and the FCIAC Football Blog.

The All-State senior receiver scored touchdowns three different ways in the Rams' 35-0 triumph over Fairfield Ludlowe. He returned an interception 27 yards, took back a punt for 40 yards and caught a 53-yard TD reception — all in the first quarter, when undefeated New Canaan (3-0) jumped out to a 28-0 lead.

The Player of the Week candidates are nominated by Patch.com based on its weekly coverage of high school football, and the voting is conducted by the FCIAC Football Blog.
