New Canaan Crushed by Wilton 12-2 in Class M Boys Lacrosse Class M Final
The Rams, who were appearing in their first championship game since 2008, finished the season at 13-7
After stunning top seed Darien in the semifinals, nothing was going to stop the Wilton boys lacrosse team.
The fifth-seeded Warriors completed their run to the CIAC Class M state championship Saturday with a 12-2 drubbing of New Canaan at McMahon.
Michael Serpa, Patrick Holland, Christopher Nugent, Michael Francia, Connor Melillo, Matthew Kobyra and Matthew Reyes-Guerra-Dunn scored for Wilton (15-15) , which was coming of an 11-3 semifinal win over Darien.

New Canaan’s Mike Bossidy scored in the first five minutes and the seventh-seeded Rams (13-7) did not scored again until Peter Rice tallied in the final five minutes.
Bossidy's goal pulled New Canaan, the No. 7 seed within 2-1, but the Warriors reeleed off 10 straight goals.

Serpa led the way for Wilton with four goals while Melillo and Nugent each had two. Francia chipped in with a goal and three assists.
Wilton won its fifth state championship under the current format and first since 2004. Four of those titles have come against New Canaan.
