New Canaan held its annual preseason football jamboree at Dunning Stadium on Saturday.
The Rams split the field with four other teams from New York and Connecticut, trying out various lineups against Bethel and Trinity Catholic along with Cardinal Hayes from the Bronx and Stepinac from White Plains.
Each team faced each other for 25 minutes while running plays on defense and offense.
New Canaan head coach Lou Marinelli and his staff were on the field to take a close look at the Rams, who are seeking their fifth state title in six years.
Masuk - and UConn-bound quarterback Casey Cochran - ended New Canaan's four-year reign as state champions with a 50-20 victory in last season's Class L title game.
But with 11 starters returning, including gun-slinging quarterback Matt Milano, the Rams have the pieces in place to get back on top. Milano had a Peyton Manning/Dan Marino-like season last year with 42 touchdown passes.
The Rams are ready to take on all comers. They open their season on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. at Bassick.
