The Darien and boys hockey teams will meet for a fourth and final time this season in the first round of the Division I state tournament
The fifth-seeded Blue Wave (15-5) will host the No. 12 Rams (12-7-1) on Wednesday at the Darien Ice Rink. Darien has won two of the first three meetings with their archrivals, including a 5-2 victory in the FCIAC semifinals last week.

The winner of the game will take on either No.4 Glastonbury (16-4-0) or No. 13 Simsbury (11-8-1) in the quarterfinals on Monday.
If the New Canaan-Darien winner gets past the quarterfinal, a date with top seed and defending state champion Fairfield Prep is looming in the quarterfinals.

Last year, Darien took the Jesuits to overtime in the first round before falling, 2-1. New Canaan lost to St. Joseph 6-5 in the semifinals after going undefeated to that point.
Notre Dame of West Haven (16-3-1) is the No. 2 seed and Ridgefield (18-2), which faced Darien in the FCIAC championship game on Saturday, is the No. 3 seed.
Darien lost to Ridgefield 3-2 in the FCIAC tier one final on Saturday night at the Terry Conner Rink.

The New Canaan boys swimming team finished second at the FCIAC championships on Friday.
While the Rams were more than 100 points behind Greenwich, which won the FCIAC title for the 41st time in the last 42 years, they led all schools with five first-place finishes.
After New Canaan opened the competion by winning the 200 medley relay, John Santoro won the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke, Austin Wolff took the 100 butterfly and Ian Robert placed first in the 50 freestyle.
New Canaan had nine top-four finishes, helping it place second in the team competition.
