Darien pitcher Andrew Hurn and New Canaan pitcher Alex Farina battled it out with the Blue Wave coming out on top.

New Canaan's Alex Farina, who also went the distance, matched Hurn threw five innings before the Blue Wave scored both their runs in the top of the sixth.
No. 9 hitter Ian Sullivan led off with a single, his second hit of the game, and stole second.
Sullivan went to third on Tom Carruthers' infield single and scored the game's first run on Dan Pidgeon's RBI groundout to third. Sam Gillespie followed with a run-scoring single to give the Blue Wave (3-1) a 2-0 lead.
The Rams (2-1) scored their only in the seventh, when Cameron Armstrong led with a triple and came home on a throwing error from the outfield.
New Canaan threatened with two out as Will Karl and Willie Burger singled, but Hurn finished the game with a strikeout.
Farina allowed seven hits while also striking out seven and walking none in a crisply played game.
