Two swimmers made their debut at the championship while Devon Healy finished in the top 10 in three races.

Eight swimmers from the New Canaan YMCA's Caimans swimming team competed in the long course Speedo Champions Series, Super Sectionals in Buffalo, NY, over the weekend.

Devon Healy was the team standout, making the top 10 in three races. Healy placed 10th in the Men's 200 Meter Individual Medley on Thursday with a time of 2:09.56, on Saturday he placed 9th in the Men's 200 Meter Breast Stroke with a time of 2:25.95. His best showing came during the 400 Meter Individual Medley on Saturday where his 4:37.81 finishing time won him 5th place.

Healy also helped the Caiman's to a 12th place finish in the 400 Meter Freestyle Relay Friday along with lead off man Dan Sweeney, Austin Wolff, and closer Jay Margherio. The quartet knocked nearly 10 seconds off their seed time in that race with Magherio touching the wall at 3:39.87. They placed 14th in the Men's 800 Meter Freestyle Relay Saturday besting their seed time by nearly 20 seconds, and 18th in the Men's 400 Medley Relay, which was the final event of the tournament on Sunday.

Seventeen-year-old Sam Berizzi and 15-year-old John Santoro made the cut to appear in the Speedo sectional for the first time. Lulu Belak and Katie Orem also represented the Caimans at the championship in preliminary races.
