New Canaan Village Fair & Sidewalk Sale Draws Crowds Despite Scorching Heat [Photos]

There was something for everyone. For bargain-hunters, thrill-seekers, musicians, and foodies alike, the heatwave was irrelevant.

The sweltering heat was no match for the eager crowds at New Canaan's annual Village Fair and Sidewalk Sale day on Saturday. The streets were closed to traffic and instead of cars jockeying for parking spots, rows and rows of white tents shaded vendors, non profits, and civic organizations who took up residence as early as 6:00am.

The intersection of Main Street and Elm Street featured 95.9 Fox Classic Rock, Karl Chevrolet and both a busy bouncy castle and a double zip line that accommodated the intrepid from age 8 to 88.

It seems the date is already set for net year's Village Fair and Sidewalk Sale: July 19th, 2014. See you there!
