[VIDEO] Hello Summer ... Time to Hit the Water

Take a tour of what lies beneath the surface of Long Island Sound.

Summer officially arrived at 6:51 a.m. Saturday and plenty of folks hit the beaches and parks in Greenwich to mark the day with the most hours of sunlight during the whole year.

Recreational activities abound, especially on Long Island Sound.

Capt. Denis Habza of Squalus Marine Divers of Black Rock is planning plenty of dives in the Sound this summer and his videos provide intriguing views of what glorious views lie beneath the water's surface.

Here's what he found during a dive in the 'Hens and Chickens' area off the rocky Greenwich coast and Captain's Island last summer — plenty of mussels, fish, old bottles and a long-abandoned lobster trap. Check out what happens when he opens that crusty, old trap.
