Back to School Fitness Resolutions

Why wait for the New Year to start fresh? Back to school season is a great time to get back into healthy routines.

While January is synonymous with resolutions and new beginnings, I prefer to make a fresh start in September. This is a great time to reenergize your fitness regime and healthy eating habits. Kids are back at school, the weather is fabulous and winter blues and holiday madness are still months away. Why not let these factors work in your favor and get started with a new fitness plan or get back to good practices?

Loads of gyms, fitness studios and health clubs offer great deals and low cost trial memberships this time of year. Now can be the perfect time to try those Crossfit classes you have been hearing about, go back to the old yoga studio that you love or with the weather at just right temperatures, try some outdoor Bootcamp sessions. Healthy eating habits may be easier to adopt now that the kids are back at school too and you’re not constantly being tempted to share their ice cream or other sweets.

Join your kids in their back-to-school excitement and get excited about getting fit. And by the time January rolls around you’ll have one less thing to put on your resolution list since you will have already achieved your health and fitness goals.
