Departures magazine features a lengthy and informative article called Connecticut's Disappearing Modernist Homes in its May/June issue.

And in a blog on Forbes.com Ashlea Ebeling wrote Second Life for New Canaan Modern Houses?

You might be saying to yourself ...."Who likes all those boxes of glass?" or "Why should I care about saving Modern houses when they just don't appeal to me?"  The answer is variety keeps our neighborhood unique.  When I think back to my childhood in Dallas my favorite neighborhoods were the ones with the most varied and interesting architecture.

Today, as a designer, I can appreciate many varied types of architecture....there are the gracious Victorian porches , the asymmetry of rambling Mediterraneans, the incredible detailing of the Arts and Crafts bungalows and Tudors.  Even if they don't appeal to you, there are interesting characteristics to appreciate in all of these styles.

Modern homes are no different. In fact it is much more difficult to create and build a Modern house because there are no moldings applied to cover sloppy drywall work.
