Les Miserables Master Class at The Studio

Have you seen the movie? Are you obsessed with Eponine and "On My Own"--or is little Gavroche your hero? Join us for a Les Mis Master Class with cast member Casey Erin Clark on January 19th!

Have you seen the movie?  Are you obsessed with Eponine and "On My Own"--or is little Gavroche your hero?  There is a reason that Les Miserables is beloved the world over--it's one of the greatest musicals of all time!

For 21 months and over 40 cities, Casey Erin Clark was part of the original cast of the brand new, highly acclaimed 25th Anniversary Production of Les Miserables.  She played multiple roles in the ensemble, including the fearsome "Factory Girl", and understudied the role of Fantine, which she played over 25 times.

In this master class, we will dive into the world of Les Miserables--a particularly passionate and actor-driven sung-through musical.  We will use exercises to explore actor movement and apply it to a song from the show we will learn and perform for interested parents in the last 10 minutes of class (music will be available in pdf form for students to examine, but no need to learn it before unless interested!).  There will also be a Q and A session to ask about life on the road and a career in musical theater!  Check out her website for more info:  www.caseyerinclark.com

Where DIDN'T you learn to write?? Jane Himmel May 22, 2013 at 01:27 pm "This has CONVINCED MYRead More GROWING CONVICTION that Patch has moved complete..."

I just called Staples. This is really disturbing to me. If I don't get a satisfactory answer, IRead More will let people know and I will also decide whether to continue shopping there. I do not like to give my money to unethical businesses.

This has convinced my growing conviction that Patch has moved completely away from any pretense ofRead More being a news source and is simply an electronic bulletin board. By abandoning their prior procedure of approving posts before they go up, they are letting anything go on and then taking them down if they're reported. By then, it's too late: the poster has gotten their message across during the time it's in the lineup. I only check in with Patch occasionally now and so many people in town won't read it at all anymore. I think we need to be honest with ourselves about what kind of a public forum this venue is. This doesn't reflect well on Staples if they are using subterfuge and violating Terms of Use on Patch either.

New Canaan hockey players are better off playing at Sono, Ridgefield or Stamford Youth Hockey.
