NBA Players Heading to Bridgeport for Charity Game

Two former UConn players will participate.

Basketball players from the NBA, including two that played for UConn, will be coming to Bridgeport on Nov. 18 for a charity game,according to The Post Chronicle.

Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzlies and Hasheem Thabeet of the Houston Rockets, who both played for UConn, will appear at Webster Bank Arena for the "I-95 Pro Jam," which co-organizer Oliver Macklin said came about as a result of the lockout.

Gay and Thabeet will play on the "I-95 North" team, which consists of players from Connecticut, along with  of the Los Angeles Clippers and Jordan Williams of the New Jersey Nets. Players on the "I-95 South" team, which consists of players from the D.C. area, include John Wall of the Washington Wizards, Iman Shumpert of the New York Knicks and Sam Young of the Memphis Grizzlies.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets will go on sale Nov. 10. Tickets prices start at $25.
