"The Norwalk Community Chorale invites you to join our 70-member four-part chorus on Tuesday, January 14th, 2014. We have entertained the greater Norwalk community for more than 50 years, performing concerts at Christmas and in the spring, and at local Community functions upon request. There are no tryouts or residency requirements. Our Chorale is made up of local community people who share a love of music and singing! New members are welcome—especially tenors and basses!"

The Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk, Inc. (JLSN) is gearing up for the Spring 2014 New Member Course and meeting at the Burger Bar at 60 North Main Street in South Norwalk Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. We are an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We serve the towns of Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton. This year marks our 91st of service to the community! If you are interested in connecting with service minded women and making a difference in your community, then please join us to learn more!

The Connecticut Friends School at 317 New Canaan Road in Wilton invited the public to a free screening of the powerful film 'Race to Nowhere' Wednesday at 7 p.m. "Please join us to view this riveting film that is a must see for every parent.  Following will be a lively discussion led by thought leaders Kim Tsocanos and Mark Dansereau. We will also be showing at 8:30 a.m. for those that prefer an earlier event."

The January meeting for Fare CT will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the New Canaan Library, 151 Main Street, in the Plaut Conference Room. "Join us for our first meeting of the year to share resources and ideas for managing food allergies. Come learn about exciting plans for the first FARE Walk for Food Allergy in Fairfield County, current advocacy and awareness efforts and the most current research development towards a cure. Open to all."
