Look Here for Lots of Fun Things to Do for a Great Week in New Canaan

It looks like the weather for the week in New Canaan starts off in the low 70s but jumps to the high 70s by Tuesday and peaks in the low 80s on Wednesday before slowly declining to the low 70s by next weekend. Rain currently doesn't look likely.

Starting Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., a number of shops throughout New Canaan will be participating in a Where's Waldo contest, with 25 participating stores hiding the bespectacled icon within their shop somewhere. Finding him can win prizes like stickers, coupon books and more.

On Wednesday evening at 6 p.m., restaurants throughout Fairfield County will be participating in the March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction. The event, to be held at The Waters Edge at Giovanni's, at 2748 Post Road in Darien, will feature a unique assortment of live and silent auction packages including experiences with the chefs, entertainment and travel, and contribute to the very special Fund the Mission campaign, in support of "A Recipe for Healthy Babies" initiative.

Similarly, in neighboring Stamford, Fairfield County's Community Plates is hosting a Night to End Hunger on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Loading Dock. The event features some of the area's newest restaurants. Check out ticket details here

At the New Canaan Library on Monday, the institution kicks off a six-part series exploring European art with the first installment of Artscapades at 7 p.m. They've got lots of other fun activities planned to close out September and ring in October, so be sure to check the calendar.

The New Canaan Planning & Zoning Commission has a special meeting planned for 7 p.m. on Tuesday and on Thursday at 8:45 a.m., the Health & Human Services Commission will meet at the Vine Cottage Board Room.
