What to Do and Where to Go this Week in New Canaan

It looks like the weather for the week in New Canaan starts off in the mid 60s and hits a ceiling of about 70 for the week, hovering around those temperatures all week. Rain is currently predicted for Thursday, Friday and Sunday, but the sun never really looks to poke through even on days when it isn't raining.

Monday is Columbus Day, so town hall is closed. On Wednesday, there's a Town Council meeting and on Thursday there's a Historical Review Committee meeting.

There's all sorts of fun at the New Canaan Library, from Movie Mondays to Authors on Stage Tuesday (Bill Dedman is this week's guest) to writing workshops on Thursday, so be sure to check the calendar for something interesting.

Fairfield County's newest luncheonette and caterer, Eclectic, officially opens its doors on Tuesday, so check it out starting at 11 a.m. at their New Canaan location at 31 Vitti Street. Opening day guests are requested to send an RSVP, so check the link for details on reserving a spot.
