Canine Artist Coming to New Canaan Library

Coming next weekend, artist and author William Wegman will be visiting the New Canaan Library to celebrate the release of his new book, Flo and Wendell, a children's book "sure to delight adults as well."

Wegman is famous for his creative compositions involving dogs, most notably his own Weimaraners in costumes and poses. Elm Street Books are co-hosting the event, to be held in the H. Pelham Curtis at the Library.

Flo and Wendell, Wegman's first book in a decade, features two "lovable new canine siblings who find it hard to get along."

Wegman, whose videos appear regularly on Sesame Street, and his family—including his four dogs Candy, Bobbin, Flo and Topper (the latter pair serving as the inspiration for Flo and Wendell)—split their time between living in New York and Maine.
