Halloween Fun All Around New Canaan this Weekend

Hey New Canaan, Friday arrives with a sunny 54 degrees. It stays mostly sunny on Saturday and reaches 55 before hitting 57 on a partly cloudy Sunday, according to Weather.com. Zero-percent chance of rain Friday and Saturday, 10-percent chance on Sunday.

In neighboring Stamford, the Avon Theater will host a special "extra" edition of Cult Classics on Saturday with an 11:30 p.m. showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. There will be a costume contest and the winner receives a plate of "to-die-for Halloween-themed mini cupcakes from Lorca."

In neighboring Darien, the 2nd Annual Howl-O-Ween Parade starts at 11 a.m. in the rear lot of 21 Tokeneke Road, home of The Hairy Barker Inn & Spa. $1 donations and toys for shelter dogs will be collected. Costumes encouraged and prizes will be distributed. Registration required. 

The New Canaan YMCA will host its Halloween Party & Fall Frolic on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., immediately following the town's Halloween Parade. Activities include: Halloween Games, Photo Booth, Halloween Hooptacula, Pumpkin Rodeo, Old Faithful Fire Truck Rides, Jack-o-Lantern Contest and the Trunk-or-Trinket contest.
