<p>The cuisine at Chef Luis is dubbed "New American With a Spanish Flair." The interior features fresh flowers at each table, original artwork for sale on the walls and jazzy music. And the restaurant's chef and namesake, Luis Lopez, is gregarious, doling out heaping helpings of hellos and hugs to his regular patrons. </p>
<p>The restaurant opened in 2007 when Tad Acker partnered with Lopez, who until that point had been a chef for eight years at nearby Sole restaurant.</p>
