<p>The New Canaan Fire Department is made up of 24 career firefighters and volunteer members of Fire Company No. 1 for a combined force of 60.</p> <p>Firefighters respond to incidents of smoke and fire as well as emergencies such as motor vehicle accidents, downed electrical wires, and hazardous spills.</p> <p>The Fire Department invites the town over for hot dogs at the fire station each year following the Memorial Day Parade.</p> <p>If you're interested in volunteering e-mail recruits@newcanaanfire.com</p>
