Founded in New Canaan in 1928, St. Luke's School is a private, secular, co-educational day school, offering college preparatory curriculum for grades 5-12. The School's diverse student body of 504 represents over 25 towns in Connecticut and New York with about a third from New Canaan. <br><br>Located off Smith Ridge Road (Rt 123), the hilltop campus is set on 40 acres hosting a main academic building with a state of the art performing arts center, studio art building, comprehensive athletic center and turf fields. <br><br>The school's motto is "Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve" and St. Luke's aims to inspire students and cultivate their talents through in academics, athletics, community service, and the arts in a challenging and friendly environment. <br><br>From the Middle School's participation in Challenge 20/20, in which St. Luke's students tackle a global issue paired with an international school, to the Global Scholars honors distinction in the Upper School, students are asked to apply critical thinking, analysis, and creative problem-solving to real-world challenges.
