Glen, It is the freshest and most delicious "not yogurt" treat. As it says in the articleRead More it is made out of milk, not cream, so it is healthier than ice cream AND you would never know it.
Betty J. Lovastik May 22, 2013 at 08:53 am
Glen, just stop by and ask one of the worker's for a sample. If you like it, buy a scoop or two.Read More If you don't, you lost nothing more than a pleasant visit to a nice eatery.

I never had Gelato. Kind of scared to try it. It is basicly Italian Ice Cream...yes?? Does itRead More have REAL cream in it? It is NOT yogurt I hope (YUK!!) How is it different from normal ice cream

A storied family. Some notes on lacrosse would have rounded out this piece, as the Towers have beenRead More integral in New Canaan players' success on the field over the past few decades.

What a read! A nice life, indeed, to look back on—and a lot she has to be thankful for andRead More look forward to. Thanks for sharing your story with Patch.

Always a wonderful event inspite of the rain. I would rather it rain on the weekend and not duringRead More the week. Nothing like dealing w/a rainy MOnday morning (ugh)

Lovely! And nothing novice-looking about that. My problem is, I like to plant—not weed. I likeRead More to select, arrange and put them all in the ground. I'm getting ideas from these photos. What is your favorite annual to plant, readers?

I would like to laugh at them demonstrating in front of the city of Bridgeport post office.
Jon S. May 9, 2013 at 09:12 am
The LaRouche folks are the Westboro Baptist “Church” of politics. It’s their rightRead More to express themselves, and it’s my right to laugh at them.

I see these people every year. What's the story, why are they allowed to deface the President ofRead More this country who is doing a decent job as far as I can tell. If these folks think can do a better job, that's when I'll move to another country. I believe in freedom of expression but lets get real here. You don't need to disgrace our President. I wrote a letter to the editor of the Advertiser, I thought someone in the town council might see it and possibly do something. But then I think just ignore them and they might go away. I've got to say their approach is a little out of hand.

Where was 'one term' malloy, the Sandy Hook phoney. He used that disaster to further his carrier,Read More you can bet on it. We can do much better next election. He's a user and has always been one. Selfish as they come, no heart or soul.
Robert Brown May 5, 2013 at 10:26 pm
Great show of "FORCE" and "AWE", but what else?? Just like "foreignRead More policy": great oratory" "no results",
Jose May 5, 2013 at 09:37 pm
Where was Dannie 'one term' Malloy, Sandy Hook was such a big thing with him I thought he would beRead More right up front with his moped. Very disapointed in our govenor. Dannie 'one term' Malloy must have been kissing someone butt somewhere else. He's bucking for senator but we have a say in that, and the answer is NO. Then he has visions of being president, what a flamer. For stealing the trip to DC, you took $1,234.62 in value and as a weasel wasn't going to tell a soul until you got caught red handed. Stealing makes you ineligible for a senate run, so don't quit your day job. Stealing $1,234.62 is a felony, if all goes well you will lose the govenorship. Some people just can't stay on the honest side of the line. You're bad for America.

Golf courses have them too. Pretty much any open field is a target for lightning.
Alice Maritis May 1, 2013 at 07:23 pm
The pool and all of the playing fields in town are equipped with these sensors. The detectors willRead More warn of a storm that is near by. One might see a lightning strike and think it is far enough away that players are not in danger. This system takes the guess work out of it. There are strobe lights and sirens. When it goes off, all coaches have been instructed to get their players off the field. The strobes will stop blinking when it is safe to return. It was put in place for the safety of our kids. It's not a "Caution, This coffee is hot." liability issue.

The Waveny pool is great for our town. However, many things do need to be improved. 1-As said byRead More Tom and others, the bees are very annoying and it is difficult to eat food near the concession stand. 2-The grass is a mess. It needs to be watered and taken care of. 3-There need to be more shaded areas to rest since the prime shaded spots are quickly taken and held all day. 4- There should probably be a time for 'adult swim' like the private clubs so that we don't have to get hit with basketballs.
Bradley Cooper is hot!!!! May 2, 2013 at 11:13 am
We joined a private club for several reasons: 1. While the pool itself is lovely, the grass aroundRead More the pool was always muddy and smelly. It was not comfortable to sit around the pool 2. Even though, after a couple of years, they provided umbrellas, the lack of protection from the sun is an issue 3. The snack bar had always been atrociously managed. If open time is at 10 I would think that means get there at 9 and be ready to be open. Not show up at 10. The bees were unbearable as well and tables and concrete dirty. I have not been in 3 years so perhaps this has been addressed,
Four Jacks May 1, 2013 at 06:54 pm
Day passes should be offered, people are not joining because they don't want to pay a membership feeRead More to visit a handful of times. There is the impact of the recession.
Betty J. Lovastik May 1, 2013 at 05:11 pm
It's worse during morning and evening rush hours as well as arrival and dismissal times for theRead More local schools. Going through the stop sign occurs frequently especially with drivers traveling north from White Oak Shade to Main. Police "occasionally" patrol this area but NOT during the busy times. Your video was spot on, Mike! The event you captured happens multiple times on a daily basis.

I hear a lot of complaining about "typical NC people". You don't like us...move.
Dr Leonaura Rhodes May 1, 2013 at 09:14 am
it's the worst junction! part of the problem is the dreadful positioning of the stop signs, they areRead More to far away from each other!
