Dara Reid is the Founding Director of Wildlife in Crisis.

Since 1988, Wildlife in Crisis (WIC) has been the sole all-species wildlife care center in Fairfield County, Connecticut. In that time, literally tens of thousands of debilitated wild birds, mammals and reptiles have passed through the WIC clinic, headed for a second chance at life in the wild.

WIC is a volunteer-run, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to wildlife preservation and land conservation. Each year WIC volunteers answer over 15,000 phone calls and care for over 5,000 wounded and orphaned wild animals. WIC cares for debilitated wildlife and seeks to protect threatened ecosystems. WIC’s care center, land trust and environmental education programs share the goal of protectingwildlife while improving the quality of life in our communities.

For more information about WIC, please visit our website at wildlifeincrisis.org. If you have questions about native wildlife, please call WIC at 203-544-9913. WIC is open 9am-5pm each day.
