Debbie Kelly reports about business and marketing for Patch.

One day long, long ago, Debbie walked into her second grade classroom to find large, red construction paper footprints winding their way around the floor and walls.  With the assignment to write a creative story about how they got there, she got hooked.  She has loved writing ever since.

After graduating from college, Debbie spent 13 years working in brand management at consumer packaged goods companies around the country, including Nestle in California and Pepperidge Farm here in Connecticut.  She left the full time corporate grind in 2008 to spend more time with her daughter and finally found the time to get back to writing.

Debbie covers the business beat for New Canaan Patch.  She is Connecticut's Frugal Family expert for Examiner.com and writes on family finance topics for FiLife.com.  She also consults with companies in the tri-state area on marketing strategy and business development.
