Pharmacy Experience:

 

            Clinical Hospital Pharmacist Residence Program - a one-year clinical position

            developed by the American Society of Hospital Pharmacy Association to allow

            hands-on training to include clinical and administrative responsibilities

            (1979-1980).

 

            Community Pharmacist Ownership at Palmer Pharmacy in Greenwich

            (1980-to date) and Professional Pharmacy  (1984-to date) -

            a multi-tasked position of developing and maintaining high professional ethics

            and conducting, in a positive direction, pharmacy practice and management and

            successfully operating a for-profit business.

 

            Military Medical Service - a commissioned officer in the United States Army

            Reserve (1980-to date) currently holding the rank of Lt. Colonel.

            An operational and management position to involve responsibilities as Chief

            of Pharmacy Services to include United States assignments, Honduras, Guatamala

            and Germany. In accordance with the Allied Health Command Doctrine of

            “Conserving The Fighting Strength”, it has been necessary to display qualified

leadership, understanding, and personal involvement both in a command and

            staff officer position. Presently assigned as assistant to the Executive Officer of the

            405th Combat Support Hospital in the United States Army Reserves.

Community Relations:

 

Vietnam Veteran Road Race

 

Directorship of the Vietnam Veteran Road Race (1984 to Date), an annual event which combines physical fitness with a worthy cause of helping a son or daughter of a Vietnam veteran obtain a college scholarship. During the past annual road races we have had as many as 400 runners register for the event allowing a positive remembrance of the brave men and women who sacrificed comfort for duty during one of the longest and most divisive wars in American history. Currently we have given over 50,000 dollars in scholarship assistance.

 

Community Economic Development Corporation of Norwalk

 

            Selected to the board of directors of the Community Economic Development

            Corporation of Norwalk, a city-wide organization to assist and mentor

            prospective entrepreneurs through business planning, technical assistance, and

            networking with financial specialists.

 

AMERICARES

 

            Pharmaceutical advisor to Americares on both a national and international basis

            to include formulary development and therapeutic categorization by disease state,

            endemic factors, and pharmacoeconomics.

 

Communication/Marketing

 

            Host and coordinator for the Fairfield County News Radio AM Health Connect

            radio show broadcast sponsored by the Greater Norwalk Hospital and consist of

            medical issues and interviewing medical professionals, MD, RN, EMT,

            paramedics.

 

            Selected to the Professional Editorial Board for Retail Pharmacy News a division

            of The McMahon Group, New York, NY.

 

            Selected to the professional editorial advisory board of Health Foods Business

            Journal, a division of PTN Publishing Company.

Selected to Advisory Board of the Society of Natural Pharmacy, Inc.,

            Larchmont, NY., an organization dedicated to the promotion of safe alternative

            medicine involving botanicals, homeopathics and nutritionals with positive medical

outcomes.
