Dr. Steve Zeide, Neighbor

Stamford resident and owner of Bull’s Head Pet Hospital since the ‘70s, my primary veterinary interests are internal and preventative medicine of dogs, cats, birds and exotic pets (in fact, any pet that can fit through the door). 

I love to share my passion for animals with Fairfield County‘s young and young at heart, whether it’s participating in pet-facilitated therapy at human hospitals and nursing homes or visiting schoolchildren on career days. It’s doubly rewarding when the students come to Bull’s Head Pet Hospital to discover more. The learning tree has even branched out to my sons from a more than 35-year marriage. One is a veterinarian today and the other, an attorney with his MBA, consults for the practice. Born and bred in Brooklyn, N.Y., I learned to be fiercely loyal to family, community and work.

In my spare time, I enjoy running and reading (not simultaneously). Finally, of course, what would a veterinarian be without pets of his own? Tiger, a 13-year old feline and Dover, a six-year old bull terrier, presently rule the roost.
